How To Grow A Vegetable Garden

Instead of buying your vegetables from a supermarket....why not grow your own? It is fun (for the most part) and you can enjoy the reward of consuming something that you planted from a seed and is now edible.

These pictures were taken with my camera phone. (I used to have a BlackBerry Flip)

Notice that the first few pictures were super-extremely blurry...that was before I noticed all of the lint in the camera lens. Then I cleaned it out (sorry...no 'How To Clean Your Camera Phone Lens' tutorial...yet) and the remainder of the pictures are way better.

You have to make an outline in your yard for the garden. This was already done 2 years ago (Before How2DoThat.com was established).

This can be done by edging out the perimeter of the garden to the shape of your choice, by using a spade. Then...remove the sod and rototill it.

Mushroom topsoil can also be added before rototilliing to make the soil more fertile

More rototillin'

This is our old beat up roto tiller. We used it until the engine stopped running. We cleaned the carbuerator, but it would still not run right...I suppose it could use a new engine, since the frame is still good.....

But we decided to borrow this one.

(They don't make them like they used to)

Roto tillin' all finished.

All the supplies are piled in the garden 'cuz the grass needs a cuttin'

The garden is all decked out now.

Make rows for the crops...like so

Volcanoes

(For the giant pumpkins)

Get some fencing to keep the critters out.

Animals can AND will eat your food before you get to.

TO BE CONTINUED (spring of 2012)....
